23 OCTOBER – PUBLIC SESSIONS - TOPIC 1

Day 15 review:

The topic of “Climate change and energy policy” was revisited today with the calling of witness Professor Tom Wigley, from the University of Adelaide.

“Climate change and energy” was the first topic investigated by the Nuclear Fuel Cycle Royal Commission, and has so far heard from nine witnesses.

Professor Wigley has more than 40 years of experience in the discipline of climate science. He has authored a number of books based on his experience both in Australia and overseas. He provided evidence on:

  • Climate change predictions
  • International and national emission reduction targets
  • Opportunities in future energy policy.
